how long will it take my order to arrive?

orders shipping ground generally arrive within 1-5 business days based on the delivery location. normally, orders are processed and shipped within 24-48 hours of the order placement. tracking numbers are provided day of shipment.

do you ship to alaska, hawaii, and puerto rico?

we are sad to say we cannot ship to the oh-so-beautiful but oh-so-far-away alaska, hawaii, and puerto rico at this time.

how do i change my shipping address?

if you'd like to change the address on an existing order, please contact us asap using our contact us. form, or give us a call at 1-866-9-method. we process all orders very quickly once they are submitted, but we'll do our best to change a shipping address if possible. if you'd like to change the shipping address associated with your account, just log in to your account and click on "addresses" to add a new one.

where do you ship?

as much as our products would love to travel abroad, we’re only shipping within the continental united states at this time. stay tuned for future availability in other countries!

when do i need to have my order placed for expedited shipping?

expedited orders must be submitted by 2 pm est to be shipped out the same day.

do you offer free shipping?

the short answer is, yes. we offer free ground shipping on all orders over $50. the long, lawyer-y answer is: fed ex ground shipping will be waived at checkout for orders of $50 or more. tax does not count toward order total. a flat-rate shipping charge of $15.00 will be applied at checkout for all orders under $50. valid on shipments to all continental u.s. states including apo / fpo military bases. free shipping not valid on 2nd day shipping. 2nd day shipping is $30.

is method tested on animals?

we are a cruelty free brand – that means our products are tested by people, not on animals.

what is your you'll love it promise?

at methodproducts.com we don’t really do returns or exchanges. after all, what would we do with a used bar of soap? if you’re not happy with your product within 30 days of receiving it, simply contact us and we’ll get to work on making things right.

what should I do if I receive the wrong product?

well that’s embarrassing. if you received a product different from the one you ordered, we’re sorry about that. contact us using our contact form, or give us a call at 1-866-9-method and we’ll get to work on getting you the right product right away.

there can be many reasons for a failed credit card transaction. your card information may have been entered incorrectly, the card may have expired, reached its limit, or a malfunction may have occurred with the credit card processing system. please double check your information. if you continue to have problems, use our contact form or give us a call at 1-866-9-method, monday through friday, 8 am-5 pm cst.

what forms of payment do you accept?

we accept all major credit cards like mastercard, visa, discover, and american express. we also accept paypal. we do not accept checks, money orders or gold bullion.

yep. like all mail order companies, we are required by law to charge sales tax in all states where we have a business presence.

login to your account to access your order details and history. once in your account, click on "orders" to see the status of your order.

can I cancel my order?

please contact us asap using our contact form or give us a call at 1-866-9-method. we process all orders very quickly once they are submitted, but we'll do our best to cancel an order if possible.

can I use multiple coupon codes at checkout?

nope. you can only use one coupon code per order. if you’ve encountered two valid method products coupon codes during your travels through the Internet, please choose a favorite. word to the wise: coupon codes are calculated off the sub-total and tax does not count toward sub-total.

can I use a coupon code on top of another promotion?

you can use a coupon code alongside our free shipping over $50 and any time there is an automatic promotion across the site. tax does not count towards order total.

my coupon code isn't working, what should I do?

if the coupon code you've entered doesn’t work, please check that the code was entered correctly, that your order qualifies for the promotion, and that the coupon code is still valid and not expired. also, be sure to click the apply button on the payment page of the checkout process. coupons must be applied to your order at checkout to qualify for a promotion; promotional discounts cannot be applied once the order has submitted. if you are still having difficulty, use our contact form or give us a call at 1-866-9-method, monday through friday, 8 am-5 pm cst.

is your hand “wash” as effective as hand soap?

absolutely. our hand washes are soap and can be used in the same way with the same efficacy as other leading liquid soap brands. it’s always a good idea to follow the CDC guidelines for effective hand washing (fyi, the “Golden Girls” theme song is about 20 seconds if you’re getting tired of “Happy Birthday”). Let us know if you have any other questions + happy hand washing.

is your hand soap effective against COVID-19?

no. we don’t make specific claims regarding COVID-19. currently, no products in the market have been tested specifically against the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and can’t prove efficacy against it. however, our hand soap is great to use as part of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines of washing your hands (often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing). for more advice from the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on how to help prevent illness, go to: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/prevention.html.

can I buy method men and method body products at any retail locations?

yes, you can buy most of our products at national retailers like target, walgreens and cvs. not every retail location sells all of our products, so it’s a good idea to call your local store to make sure they have what you want in stock.

can you help with a product I bought from a third party marketplace?

we can only guarantee the authenticity of products purchased on methodproducts.com, at our retail locations, and through authorized partnerships. we’re not able to process returns or exchanges, or otherwise assist with orders not placed through methodproducts.com or at our retail locations.

can anyone use method men or method body products?

yes! we love that you love method, and you can love it any way you choose. we created our method men line to provide more personal care options, including fabulous new fragrances for body wash and hair care, and new grooming goods like beard care, shaving balm and more. our scent-sational method body line is made with fab fragrances to match your mood. we welcome everyone and anyone to use our method products.

are your products vegan?

yes. all of our products are vegan because they don’t contain animal ingredients or by-products. we’re also cruelty free. and we’re also glad you asked – we have many attributes we'd like to shout from the rooftops but we can’t fit it all on our bottles.

where are your products made?

we make many of our method home products that are sold in North America at our very own LEED platinum, Zero Waste certified factory in Chicago’s historic Pullman district. For the remainder of our products, we work with carefully chosen manufacturing partners in the U.S. and Canada.

Why are hygiene products considered essential?

Adequate hygiene is essential because it helps prevent life-threatening infections and other adverse health effects. A 2016 national survey found that 67% of the people experiencing homelessness reported one or more preventable health conditions and 34% reported that their health made it difficult for them to keep a job or to handle daily living activities. The average life expectancy in the homeless population is estimated between 42 and 52 years, compared to 78 years in the general population (source).
Simply the Basics is inspired by Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the philosophy that people are unable to focus on any goals (job security, housing, relationship building, sobriety, mental health, and self-actualization) if they are unable to meet their needs at the very basic level (food, shelter, clothing education, and hygiene).

How do I check the settings or status of my subscription?

To check the settings or status of your subscription, first log in to your account. Once logged in, click subscriptions. You should see an overview of any subscriptions, active or on hold. You can view your recent orders, manage your shipping and billing addresses, and edit your password and account details. If you have any questions regarding your account, please contact us.

How do I modify my subscription schedule, change the quantity, or size of products?

To modify your subscription schedule or to add and remove products, simply log into your method account and click on subscriptions . You can reactivate, cancel, place it on hold, or edit frequency all from there.

Why is my subscription on hold?

Most likely, your subscription is on hold because the credit card on-file is expired or locked. To update your payment information, click on your account, log in, and navigate to subscriptions. You should see an overview of any subscriptions, active or on hold. You should see a block on the left side that says CHANGE BILLING. Click this to enter your new card info, then click UPDATE CARD.

What are the terms & conditions for subscription?

When you enroll in subscriptions, you will receive repeat deliveries. These are based on the subscription duration and frequency that you select. Your payment details will be stored securely, and you'll be charged for each of these deliveries, unless you choose to skip your next order, put it on hold, or cancel the subscription. Your card will only be charged when an order ships. If you want to cancel or change your subscription, you can do so at any time. You will receive an email reminder 10 days before the order ships. You can either manage your subscription from there or by accessing subscription under your account.

What type of subscriptions do you have?

Currently, we offer subscriptions on refill products. You’ll receive 10% off your first order and re-occurring subscription orders. Please note, free shipping is only eligible for re-occurring subscriptions orders over $50. You will be charged $15 for ground shipping on orders under $50.

How much is shipping on future subscription deliveries?

Orders over $50, shipping is free. Orders under $50, shipping is $15. Please note, if you have different product subscriptions, the shipment date needs to be the same across all subscriptions to unlock free shipping over $50. You can review your shipment dates in your account under subscriptions.

How do I sign up for subscriptions?

Subscribing is easy; it can be done through the product pages for refill items or while reviewing items in the shopping cart. To get started, simply select the subscription option, select your preferred shipment frequency, and then check out as normal. Cancel, pause, or update your subscription at any time through your subscriptions account.

What will happen after I sign up for subscription ?

After you subscribe, you can manage your future orders, frequency, quantity and account information, here is a link to our subscription page. We will place your subscription orders automatically according to your selected frequency, and you will only be billed on the day the order is processed. We will send you an email reminder 10 days before each subscription order. You will also receive email notifications regarding other important information related to your subscription account, such as if your item is discontinued or out of stock, if you cancel your subscription, and confirmation when an order is placed successfully.

Can I put my subscription on hold?

You can delay your next shipment by up to 90 days in the manage subscription section here is a link to our subscription page.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you wish to cancel, you can do so online at any time in your account under subscriptions. Select ‘Cancel’ on the subscription you would like to cancel, followed by the reason why. You will receive a confirmation email when your subscription has been canceled.

How do I view future deliveries?

Your next scheduled orders will be listed in the subscriptions section of your account.

Can I subscribe to other items besides refills?

No...not yet! Right now, we only offer subscription service for our refill items. But stay tuned because we have big plans to add more subscription offers.
